Sangria
Tinto de Verano
Cremat
Ingredients:
• 4 cups of red wine
• 2 oranges (juice - "naranjas de zumo")
• 4 peaches and/or 4 apples, cut into small pieces
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 pieces of lemon skin
• 1 bottle of 7-Up or Sprite
Steps:
1: Choose a red wine - Sangria is a refreshing drink and you don't need to use a
vintage wine. We recommend a brandy or a burgundy..... Put the wine into a jug, add
the sugar, and stir until it is properly dissolved.
2: Add the 7-Up and squeeze the two oranges, and add the juice to the jug. Save a slice
of orange skin to decorate. (You can also add sliced of orange just directly into the jug,
without squeezing)
3: Wash the peaches and apples, peel them (apples do not need to be peeled) and cut
them into small quarters ( this can be as small or as big as you want them,). Add them
to the jug.
4: Put the jug into the fridge. Sangría should always be served chilled. If you want to
reduce the alchohol concentration, add icecubes and slices of lemon. If you don’t have
time to refrigerate it, just add ice to a plastic bag and place in the jug or punch bowl (the
bag will keep the ice from watering down the Sangria as it melts).
• 1 part red wine
• 2 parts Casera
Combine together and serve chilled or on ice for a refreshing summer drink that is
quick and easy and is also not too strong.
(Because Casera is rarely found in the U.S., you can substitute 7-up or Sprite.)
Ingredients
• 4 cups dark rum
• ¼ cup sugar
• 1 fresh cinnamon stick
• whole coffee beans
• 1/2 lemon peel
Steps
Add all ingredients to a terracotta pot. On the side, heat up some rum on the stove.
Once the rum is hot, light it and slowly pour it into the terracotta pot. Stir the beverage
slowly until 2/3 of the liquid remains, then serve. Serves 8 people.
